Assault Survivor Kits®

Provides clothing and grooming items to victims of assault.

Buena Vista Tutorial Program

Provides early intervention reading and math help. A project of the Buena Vista Auxiliary.

Camp Kits

Provides camp kits for disadvantaged youth on camperships. A project of Assisteens®.


Cards for TeleCare Clients

Assisteens provide cards monthly for TeleCare clients. Gift baskets are delivered once a year.

Community Services Outreach

Provides a range of unmet community needs on a short-term basis and are determined by need of the recipients, membership availability, and budgetary restraints.

Duffel Bags for Independent Living Skills Program

Assisteens provides household and personal items to enable emancipated foster youth to function. These items will enhance the duffel bags provided through the chapter's Community Outreach Program.

Foresight

Screens preschool aged children for amblyopia and provides hearing tests.

Holiday Parties for Disadvantaged Children

Project of Assisteens. The children are referred by county social services department.

Kids on the Block

Explores, through puppetry, issues of disability, cultural differences, social problems and acceptance of self and others.

Operation School Bell®

Provides clothing for schoolchildren in need in grades K-5.

Read, Enrich, Achieve, Discover (R.E.A.D.)

Read, Enrich, Achieve, Discover. Under the Operation School Bell umbrella, books that members read to children are purchased and donated to classrooms and school libraries.

Scholarship Program/Teacher Grants

Provides awards for programs that will enrich, enhance and complement the curriculum. They are awarded to teachers to implement programs not adequately funded from other sources.

Scholarships

Provides scholarships for high school and community college students based on their need and/or volunteer contributions.

Show on the Road

An entertainment troop going to local care facilities.

TeleCare

Provides daily reassurance telephone calls, food vouchers, small errands and home visits for housebound, elderly and handicapped clients.

Thrift Shop Donation Program

Items that cannot be used by the chapter thrift shop are donated to other non-profit organizations.

Welcome Home Layettes

Provides welcome home layettes for first time mothers whose babies are at risk for developmental problems.
