Teens Who Make a Difference

Assisteens Auxiliary of Assistance League of Diablo Valley was founded in 1977 and has over forty-five teenage members in grades 8 through 12. The members live in Contra Costa County, CA in communities such as Alamo, Clayton, Concord, Danville, Lafayette, Orinda, Pleasant Hill, San Ramon and Walnut Creek.

  • The members are required to perform 3-4 hours of community service each month.
  • Meetings are held the first Monday evening in September through May.
  • Teenagers interested in joining are assigned a member to act as a mentor while learning about the organization.
  • Dues are currently $25 per year.
  • From their fundraising efforts, they support community projects that benefit seniors and children.
  • Prospective members are contacted and invited to an informational dessert.
