Once a year children in need referred by local school districts receive new clothing, underwear, a dental care kit and a backpack. This encourages their school attendance and increases their self esteem.
3,480 Children Clothed 2009-10
Last year, Operation School Bell, with a committee of more than 120 members, clothed 3,480 children in need from 36 schools in Contra Costa County, California.

Members of the Operation School Bell Committee, delivered 125 warm winter jackets to Helms Middle School in San Pablo where the staff distributed them to students just in time for the cold winter weather.
