5,700 Daily Reassurance Telephone Calls Were Made Last Year

People who are in need of a Monday through Friday reassurance call benefit by a chat with members of Assistance League of Diablo Valley. Calls are made Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM until noon to check on the well-being of the TeleCare clients. This can be a quick call or a chatty call.

Clients of TeleCare are matched with a member of Assisteens®,teenage auxiliary, who send cards and greetings.

In December, TeleCare callers entertain the clients for a holiday luncheon at Assistance League of Diablo Valley's Community Resource Center® in Walnut Creek, CA. Transportation is arranged. This annual holiday TeleCare party is a wonderful, joyous occasion for TeleCare clients and callers.

In the spring Assisteens do something special for the TeleCare clients such as making a home visit and delivering a gift basket.

TeleCare, with a dedicated committee of callers who care, is currently contacting 22 clients each day, making approximately 5,700 calls annually.
