R.E.A.D.

This philanthropic program provides reading enrichment experiences for children in the second grade at Meadow Homes Elementary School in Concord, CA.

Chapter members are trained to read to small groups of children. The members are trained to encourage the children in the love of reading as well as enrich their learning experience. The books that are read by chapter members are then donated to the classroom. Last year, 2,000 books were donated to second grade classes and school libraries and chapter members read to over 950 children.
